Kay F. Chandler

NORTHPORT – Kay F. Chandler, age 67, of Northport, died December 10, 2016, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 12 noon Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at Sunset Funeral Home with Dolan Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt Whitten and Louis Whitten; biological mother, Bobbie Gilliam; husband, Joel Chandler; daughter, Tammy Chandler; and sister, Nancy Price. Survivors include her sons, Mike Herring, Kevin Herring and Ricky Herring (Andrea); son-in-law, David Chandler; sisters, Sheila Houser and Linda Olson; brother, Kenny Gilliam; daughter-in-law, Sheila Stewart; grandchildren, Nikki Herring (Joey), Kristy Herring (Daniel), Cody Chandler (Allison), Dalton Herring, Kayla, Kloe, and Mac David; and great-grandchildren, Kamryn, Karlee and Logan. Pallbearers will be Mark Glen, Mark Cunningham, Steve Ward, Darren Miller, Ricky Herring, Kevin Leib, Carl Swindle and Joe Parsons. Honorary pallbearers are special friend and neighbor, Virginia Overstreet, Peggy Long (Bob), Janice Hagler, Peggy Smalley, Northport Police Department, staff of DCH Regional Medical Center and Forrest Manor Rehab.
