Harold was a proud veteran who dedicated much of his life to serving his country and fellow veterans. In the mid-1950s, he served in the Naval Reserve as a Seabee with a Construction Battalion. He later served in the United States Air Force.
Following his military service, Harold continued his commitment to helping others through volunteer work. For 20+ years, he volunteered at the Department of Veterans Affairs as a transport driver, assisting staff, visitors, and veterans. When asked why he volunteered, Harold often said it “gives me an opportunity to give back to my country.” His dedication to serving veterans reflected his generous spirit and deep appreciation for those who served.
Harold was also actively involved in veterans’ organizations, where he held several leadership roles, including Treasury/ Secretary, Advocate, and Senior Vice Commander. He was respected by all who knew him and was often described as an all-around good person who genuinely cared for others. Above all, Harold loved his family and friends and treasured the time he spent with them.
In his free time, Harold enjoyed playing cards, watching football, and following a variety of sports. He found joy in simple moments, good conversation, and being surrounded by those he loved especially his pet companion, Toby.
Harold is survived by his loving wife, Terrie Moseley; his stepson, Jacob Spencer (Cherish); his brother, Jerry “Bubba” Moseley; his grandchildren, Josh Moseley, Jamie Moseley, and Jessie Moseley; and his great-grandchildren, whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alina and Edward Moseley; his sons, Ronald Moseley and Brian Moseley; brother, Billy Moseley, and his sister, Evelyn Moseley.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Sandy Taylor and Dawn Burroughs for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided to Harold.
Harold’s legacy of service, kindness, and devotion to family and country will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
