SNEADS FERRY, N.C. – Letha E. Burroughs, age 92 of Sneads Ferry, N.C., died July 14, 2018, in Jacksonville, N.C. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Sunset Funeral with Jimmy Pritchett officiating. Burial will follow in Parker Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughters, Linda Jones Theresa McCann and Barbara McCool (Billy); and son, Earl Simmons (Ethel); grandchildren, Amye Carle (Ray), Toni McLean (Chris), Cherame Jones, Carrie Simmons, Joey Simmons (Amber) and Tim Weatherly (Susan); and great-grandchildren, Jackson Macklin and Bella Raye Carle, McKenzie McLean, Karmyn Stackhouse, Ava Manor, Ryely Randolph and Mikaila Simmons.
Letha was born January 1, 1926. She resided in Sneads Ferry, N.C. for the past four years. She was a longtime resident of Buhl, Ala. She took care of many people as a nurse. She was the best cook you would ever find. She loved gardening, painting ceramics and spending time with her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations made to Hospice of West Alabama.
