

Lewis Errol Beasley, age 70, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Graveside service with Military Honors will be held Thursday, February 15, at 9:30 at Sunset Memorial Park and a Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. at Northport City Hall.
Errol is preceded in death by his father, John T. Beasley, Jr.
Survivors include his mother, Laura Brazil Beasley, daughter, Jennifer Lynn Beasley, Northport; grandson, Brantley Alexander Hodo (Kierston), great grandson, Paxton James Hodo of Samantha. Brothers are Steven Craig Beasley (Tammy) and Donald Wayne Beasley all of Northport.
Errol was born and raised in Northport; he joined the Army National Guard and retired with 42 years of service as Master Sergeant. He worked hard to provide service to his country, his community and his family until his final day. Errol was owner of Major Service Company and employed by the City of Northport as a Maintenance Superintendent with Public Works for 27 years. He was a member of Friends of Historic Northport Board of Directors and his involvement was intricate to maintaining Friends of Historic Northport properties, including The Shirley Place, Northport Heritage Museum, Clements House, and Umbria Schoolhouse. He was also extremely involved with Kentuck Festival of the Arts.
Pallbearers are Jeff Wheat, Sylvester Whitehead, Emmitt Prince, Dalton Higgins, Don Beasley, and Brantley Hodo.
Honorary pallbearers are Alabama Army National Guard, Cathy Randall, Clark & Sandra Collins, Ryan deGraffenried III, Ken Swindle, City of Northport staff, Donna Barrett, and City of Northport Fire Chief, Bart Marshall.
The family offers its sincere appreciation for the outpouring acts of kindness during this difficult time.
