Loretta H. Willingham

NORTHPORT- Loretta Herring Willingham, age 74, of Northport, died May 5, 2023, at Park Manor Health and Rehabilitation. Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Sunset Funeral Home with step-son, Bo Smith officiating.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law Justa Powell Willingham of Northport, her grandchildren Jodi Caroline Willingham, Jackson Powell Willingham, and Jentry Lewis Willingham

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Buck Willingham Jr. (Jodie); son, John Steven Willingham “Johnny”; parents, John Lewis Herring and Billie Jean Herring.

Loretta was the bookkeeper for the District Court Clerk’s Office for 25 years. She was a member of Northport United Methodist Church.

Loretta loved her family. Her precious grandchildren, Jodi Caroline, Jack, and Jentry called her “Sweetie”, which suited her perfectly! Spending time with them was one of the greatest joys of her life.

We will miss our Sweetie but know she is home with God and all of those she has missed since the day they left.
