Marcus Brinyark

Born on November 5, 1940, in Colorado, Mark was one of six children born to the late Roy and Lucille Brinyark.

The family will receive friends on October 27 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at Sunset Funeral Home with the Celebration of Life Service following. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Bro. Kerry Richardson officiating.

Raised in Tuscaloosa, Mark graduated from Holt High School in 1958, where he played football and was named Mr. Holt High two years running. Mark attended college in Abilene, TX, then moved back to Tuscaloosa to attend the University of Alabama, while also serving in the Army National Guard.

Mark was married to the love of his life, Mary Brinyark for 59 years. Together they raised four children of their own, as well as many foster children over the years. Time spent with his family was a very important part of his life.

In addition to his parents, Roy and Lucille Brinyark, Mark was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary Brinyark and his three sisters, Dyrlee Durrough, Helen Green, Bonnie Faye Brinyark.

Mark is survived by his two brothers, Bruce Brinyark (Betty), Thomas Brinyark (Rhonda); four children, Ricky Brinyark, Jay Brinyark, Kim Foster (Ron) and Jennifer Dare (Charlie); nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
