

Margaret C. Crump, age 88, of Northport, died Feb. 14, 2013, at Northport Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. today at Sunset Funeral Home with Richard Bowers officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Crump; life long friend, Jim Willingham; parents, Oscar and Alma Cabaniss; brother, John Manly Cabaniss; nephew Sonny Cabaniss, and loved companions, Gizmo, Mugsley, and Rocky.
Survivors include daughters, Charlotte Bradley (Steve), and Pam Ferrell; sister-in-law, Wanda Griffin (Cat); several nieces and nephew; grandchildren, Daphne Donaldson (Brian and Bree), and Dusty James; and loved animals, Tinker Bell, Gandoff, Ms. Kitty, and Pugsley.
She grew up in Samantha community, where her father had a country grocery store. She was a graduate of Gorgas School, Business School of Tuscaloosa, and a member of Nazareth Primitive Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her most important job was mother and grandmother, and she was wonderful at it. She was a giver, not a taker. Her favorite pastime was watching Wheel of Fortune. To know Margaret was love. She loved all and all animals.
Pallbearers will be Greg Donaldson, Brian Cunningham, Johnny Gray, Michael Kimbrough, Kevin Pike, and Winfield Tierce.
Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Robert Ireland, neighbors of 41st Ave. Northport, all friends of Steve and Charlotte that have visited over the last ten years, and employees of UMC and Medical Records.
