Marie Lynn Howell

Marie Lynn Howell, age 75, of Northport, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025.

Marie is survived by her sons, Billy Howell (Cathy), Randall Howell (Joan); Grandchildren, Meagan Simmons (Dustin), Hannah Howell, Laci Howell, Kacy Gilliam (Jody); and Great Grandchildren Nash Gilliam, Chloe Simmons, Ramsey Gilliam, and Alden Robertson, Sister in laws Deletha Lynn, Bonnie Lynn.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 wonderful years, William “Jack” Howell, her parents, Rev. Lonnie Lynn and Virlie Lynn, her Father-in-law William Cecil Howell and Mother-in-Law Delois P. Howell, and her siblings Inez Hallman, Wanez Phillips, J.L. Lynn, Festus Lynn, and Elbert Lynn.

There will be a graveside service on Monday, September 29, 2025 at 2:00pm at Sunset Memorial Park. Danny Lynn will officiate the service.

Serving as Pallbearers are Pat Phillips, Harold Jones, Bobby Creamer, Dustin Simmons, Jody Gilliam, and Gib Tannehill.

Honorary pallbearers are Nash Gilliam, Dr. Scott Fulgham, and Hospice of West Alabama.

Marie worked in the Tuscaloosa County School System for over 25 years. She enjoyed going fishing, watching Alabama Football and more than anything, she loved spending time with her family. She was affectionately known as “Monna” to her beloved Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. We would like to give a special thanks to her sister-in-law Deletha Lynn, her niece Sharon Phillips, her niece Susan Jones and Dale Watkins.
