

Wyatt Pearson, age 51, of Coker, died Aug. 12, 2012. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Fuller officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Opal Hall and Horton Hobson Hall, and his father, Thomas Pearson.
Survivors include his wife, Tonia Pearson of Coker; his daughter, Brittney Sue Pearson of Coker; his sister, Carol Herring (Perry) of Gordo; his brother, Carl Pearson (Renea) of Birmingham; his brother-in-law, Marty Overton of Coker; his parents, Josephine and Billy Joe Gay of Gordo; his parents-in-law, Doug and Brenda Overton; a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
Wyatt loved the Lord first. He loved his family more than he loved himself. He loved his friends and enjoyed every minute of life. He was a wonderful husband, dad, son, brother, and friend. He is at home in glory with his sweet Jesus. He will be missed.
Pallbearers will be Derek Roberts, John Sims, Woody Sartain, Wardy Jacobs, Phillip Oswalt, and Thomas Washington.
Honorary pallbearers are Phifer Wire, New Beginning Family Worship Center, and friends and neighbors of Preacher Lee Road.
