Mary E. Champion, age 80, of Elrod, died Jan. 11, 2011. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Corinth Baptist Church with Bro. Shaun O'Dell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the church.
Her son, Danny, brother, Jack Tilley, Jr., parents, Jack and Morrine Tilley, and great-grandson, Toby Wayne Beck, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband, Eulis (Doc) Champion; daughters, Patricia C. Beck, Delois Champion, and Rita Pritchett; daughter-in-law, Susan Champion; son, David Champion; sisters, Rose Ann Mills and Jessie Tilley; brothers, Wesley Tilley and John A. Tilley; grandchildren, Dewayne Beck (Robin), Darryll Beck, Daniel Beck (Leigh), Michael Champion, Andy Champion (April), Kevin Champion (Kaye), and Jessica Champion; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers are members of the Elrod Community.
