While our hearts are heavy with grief, we take comfort in knowing that she has gone to be with our Heavenly Father and those who passed on before her. Jo was a devoted nurse for many years with a deep passion for caring for her patients. She also loved animals and sports, always keeping up with Alabama football and NASCAR racing. Most importantly, Jo loved her children and family, dedicating herself to doing all she could for them.

She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Susan Herndon and Rhonda Conn; her daughter-in-law, Susan Sartain; and her grandson, Jacob Dockery.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Wilson (Rich), and Lynn Dungan (Shane); and her sons, Billy Sartain (Shelby), Greg Sartain, Wayne Herndon, and Michael Herndon; and her son-in-law, Denny Conn.
