Joy is survived by her husband, Ray Knight of Coker, Alabama; daughter Francis Hankins (Donnie) of Northport, Alabama; and son Tommy Knight (Dianne) of Northport, Alabama. Grandchildren: Morgan Hankins (Tifani), Dan Leavell (Heather), Matt Hankins, Nick Knight (Stephanie) Great-Grandchildren: Madison Hankins, Jaxon Knight, Macy Hankins, Riley Leavell, Thomas Morgan Hankins, Sierra Knight and Ethan Leavell
Joy was preceded in death by parents Russell and Nettie Wright; brother Valester Wright.
A Celebration of Life Service for Joy will be held Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11:00 AM graveside at Flatwoods Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Dan Leavell, Matt Hankins, Nick Knight, Jaxon Knight, Riley Leavell, Ethan Leavell, Honorary pallbearers Members of Flatwoods Baptist Church.
Joy was born September 10, 1935 in Marshall County Alabama. Happily Married for 69 years to the love of her life. Joy was a faithful servant and member of Flatwoods Baptist Church. She loved gardening her flowers but most of all she loved her family. Her grandchildren lovingly referred to her as Grandmother and Nana.
