Mary Evelyn Sellers

Mary Sellers, age 101, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, leaving behind a long and meaningful life rooted in love, care, and simple pleasures. She was a woman who found joy in the everyday especially in her garden, where she spent countless hours tending to her plants, and in her kitchen, where her cooking brought comfort and connection to family and friends.

Mary was known for her warm heart, her gentle nature, and the quiet way she made others feel at home. Whether sharing a meal she had prepared or a moment among her flowers, she created lasting memories for those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hunter Sellers.

Mary is survived by her nephews, David Christian and Don Christian, and her nieces, Diane Meadows and Melanie Daniel, who will cherish her memory and the love she shared throughout her life.

Her legacy lives on in the traditions she kept, the lives she touched, and the beauty she cultivated both in her garden and in the hearts of those who knew her.

A Graveside Service for Mary will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 2:00 pm at Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum, 600 Martin Luther King Jr Dr, Birmingham, AL 35211, US.
