Morris was born in Tampa, Florida on November 20, 1950 to Glein and Mary Germain. He is survived by his devoted wife Jennifer Germain; their two children Emily and Chris (Kenda) and two grandchildren Emmie and Ellie.
Morris was a graduate of Robinson High, earned a Bachelors in Human Resources from University of South Florida and went on to complete his Master of Arts in Business from the University of Alabama. The majority of his HR career was spent serving the wonderful people of Elk/GAF Roofing in Tuscaloosa, AL. In addition to working there for over 25 years, he enjoyed his time teaching as an adjunct at the University of Alabama. Being around the next generation of business leaders was life giving, and his classes never seemed to feel like work for him. He would often come home telling stories of his students, excited to see where their lives were heading.
He faithfully attended Calvary Baptist in Tuscaloosa where he was a deacon as well as serving as a mentor, teacher, and usher. He also provided service to many in that congregation with his handyman skills and love of gardening and yardwork. Morris loved his time camping with Jennifer, playing with their dog Tucker, and working on his seemingly endless home repair and yard projects. He never met a tool he didn’t love and never needed a reason for a good ole trip to Lowes.
His love for learning, desire to help others, and playful spirit will be missed.
Services will be held Friday, March 20th at Calvary Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa, AL. Visitation will be at 1 PM, with the service at 2 PM, graveside following at Sunset Memorial Park, Northport, AL.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Handyman Ministry at Calvary Baptist Church. Donations can be made to https://onrealm.org/CalvaryBaptistTuscaloosa/-/form/give/2020
