What a pleasure to know Mrs. Nancy! She certainly had a way of making a person feel special. She had such a rich personality.  How she will be missed!  My condolences to the entire family.

Nancy was one of my favorite people, always optimistic, always looking to the future while teaching others about the past. Her work with World Book
meant families improved their school performance long before homes had computers. Fall 2011 I had the privilege of reading her book as she prepared it for publications.
 A great lady gracious and elegant.

On June 12th 2013, I talked to Nancy on the phone. It was the first time I had ever met her. She treated me like I was gold for an entire hour!

As a genealogist myself, I am so grateful and indebted to Aunt Nancy!!! Her book that I have in my possession, "The Way it Was" is so incredibly important in preserving my heritage as a Hughes! I couldn't imagine being able to obtain such invaluable information about my ancestors without it!

When I received my copy of the book, I was ecstatic when I discovered that she had written a note to me on the cover page! I was later told that my book was the last that she adorned with her handwritten message. I feel so privileged!!!

Aunt Nancy, I love you so much!!! You've shed so much light on how proud I should be to be a Hughes!!!

We are so saddened on the loss of this precious lady. I am so blessed to have gotten to know her. She had helped me  on our family tree, as my husband and I are both related to the Whites.
