Nell J. Simmons

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015, at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby D. Simmons and Bishop Matthew Beaty officiating.

Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Silas B. and Annie Mae Ray; her siblings; her husband, Bobby J. Simmons; and her sons, Mark Anthony Simmons and Dean ("Deano") Simmons.Survivors include daughter, Carol Ladner (Norris), Rita McClearen (Dean), Marcia Ward (David), DeVonne Bonnie Reed (Scott), Angie Simmons (Bryan); sons, Bobby D. Simmons (Gladys) and Michael D. Simmons (Mary); 28 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and one great-great- granddaughter.

Nell was born June 19, 1936 in Berry, Alabama.

Pallbearers will be David Blackston, Damon Hogeland, Derek Simmons, Bobby Webb, Jonathan Webb, Jordan Albright, Nikolas Beaty and Kamron Cowgill.
