Nellie J. Tucker

Nellie Tucker age 84 of Elberta, Al formerly of Coker, AL. passed away August 8, 2023. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held 12 p.m. Saturday August 12, 2023 at Northport Church Of Christ with Bro. Kerry Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Big Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the church.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Eulon Tucker and son Patrick Tucker.

Survivors include her daughters, Debra Hester (Roger), Tammy Yager (Steven), Becky Tucker, Tina Smelley, Jessica Potter (Justin). Emily Bowles (Chris), Amy Tucker, Kristi Tucker and Donna Sarver (Dan), sons, Michael Tucker (Michele),Ben Tucker (Wendy) and Matt Tucker, 25 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Prior to moving to Elberta where she was attending Summerdale Church Of Christ she was a active member of Northport Church Of Christ. She was a Teachers Aide at Westwood Elementery. She loved to read and enjoyed spending time with her Grand Blessings. Together with her late husband they raised 13 children and were foster parents to many other children for more than 25 years. It gave her great joy to have a house full of children both her own and all of there friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Eagles Wings Inc. of Tuscaloosa, a place near and dear to her heart.
