
Survivors include her husband, Lewis Leatherwood; daughter, Ann Wright; granddaughter, (the light in her eyes), Alexandra (Tyler) Junkin; Sister, Judy Presnall (Marshall); brother, Jimmy Strickland (Sue) and host of nieces and nephews.
Peggy loved all of her family deeply. She enjoyed traveling and all things furniture and dishes. Peggy had an unwavering trust and faith in God’s son, Jesus Christ for her personal salvation and guidance in life especially through some tough health battles in her later life.
A Celebration of Life Graveside service will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Romulus Methodist Church Cemetery beginning at 10:00 AM with Lynn Gibson officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Johnny Gladney, Tyler Junkin, Clyde Leavelle, Marshall Presnall, Logan Strickland and Russell Sichomilly.
The family would like to especially thank the dedicated staff of Oasis Hospice, Judy Burns and Tammie Sullivan as our Angels on Earth. Most of all a Thank You to her family, neighbors and friends for the support when it was needed most. Their endearing love and support will never be forgotten.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Romulus Methodist Church, Alzheimers Association of Alabama, West Alabama (Tuscaloosa) chapter, or Oasis Hospice, Tuscaloosa.
