

DCH Regional Medical Center. A graveside service will be 1:00PM Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at
Sunset Memorial Park with Bro. James Walker officiating with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity
Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Nix; parents, Melton and Betty Presnall and
son, Kevin Nix.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Posada (Jobo Isaias Posada); her Yorkie, Bama; sisters,
Debra Parham (Larry) and Tammy Hicks (Sam); grandchildren, Tyler, Tanner and Victoria
Posada and Lexie and Millie Nix and Nieces and nephews
Phyllis had a compassionate heart for others. She loved spending time with her grandchildren
an giving them words of wisdom an encouraging them to always do their best. She loved
Friday night TCHS football games and cheering on the wildcats. After the loss of her husband
and son she was determined to go on the best she could. She never lost her sense of humor an
always had a story to tell. She loved watching Alabama football with her grandsons and cooking
with her granddaughters. She loved her “baby” Bama an always made sure he was treated
like royalty. In the past Phyllis kept children in her home an later worked as a teacher aide at
Cottondale and Maxwell Elementary , also Jackson Hewitt tax center, and the Tuscaloosa Public
Library
Pallbearers will be Tyler Garcia, Tanner Garcia, Michael Bracey, Josh Caudle, Jordan Bonner,
Stefan Darling
