Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Sexton; mother, Lillian Parker; wives, Louise Turner Sexton and Beckie Sexton; sister, Jessie Link; and brothers, Donnie and Tom Parker.
He is survived by his daughter, Carolyn Hamner of Northport; son, Larry Sexton (Linda) of Tuscaloosa; grandchildren, Jeff Hamner (Toby) of Northport, Kim Sexton Seal (Curt) of Decatur and Brian Sexton (Lana) of Tuscaloosa; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Rothel Parker, Paul Parker and Bob Parker; and sisters, Betty Wilkins, Peggy Saxton and Dorothy Upton.
Robert served his country during World War II, retired from B F Goodrich and was a member of Five Points Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and Alabama football.
