Ronald Booth

Ronald Dean Booth, of Gordo, AL., passed away in the comfort of his home just one day after his 68th birthday with his family and fur babies at his bed side. He was a devoted husband, father, Pop and friend whose legacy will shine by faith, hard work and love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Breeland Booth and Irene Booth; brother, Derrill Booth and sister, Pam Booth.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Patty Booth of 40 years; Daughters, Meagan Booth (Josh) and Michelle Sanford; Grandchildren: Madison, Jaci, Blakely, Brayden Burley and Hudson; Brother in Law, Ricky Jacobs (Linda better known as Colonel Klink), and Sister in Law, Debbie Jo Booth.

To know Ronald was to love him. He was a SIMPLE MAN to say the least and never wanted to LET THE OLD MAN IN. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life. His greatest joy was being at home on the farm with his family and fur babies. Riding the horses with his grandkids was like being on vacation to him.

He took great pride in running his family business, Breeland Booth Septic Tank that was established in 1958 by his father. He ran a highly respected business and was well known in the Tuscaloosa County area with too many long term and repeat customers to count. He was the hardest working man you would ever meet. He worked hard each day alongside his employees. Even though most much younger than him would often say, man he works circles around us. When he left a job site you could rest assured his customers were satisfied.

Ronald’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of all he came in contact with. For the ones who knew and truly loved him; he will be greatly missed. He leaves behind a legacy of work ethic, love, loyalty, kindness and devotion for his family and business that will continue to carry on and live on through those he touched.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Hunnicutt (Hunnicutt Diagnostic), John Wilson (Wilson’s Diesel Service), Bill Taylor (Taylor Construction), CW Booth, McCoy Booth and Eugene Booth.

Visitation will be Monday, August 3rd from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Memory Chapel. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12:00 PM with Reverend David Kelly officiating. Burial to follow at Memory Hill Gardens.
