Ruby Jean Smith, age 79, of Northport, died Feb. 11, 2013, at home. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rodger Harvey and Billy Harvey; and her sisters, Phillis Brooks and Myrla Ziontek.
Survivors include her daughter, Debra Cambron; her sons, Larry Smith and Terry Smith; her sisters, Bonita Olliss, Peggy Whitley, Lena Miller, Gloria Mae Jester, and Garnett Lyons; her brother, Skippy Harvey; her grandchildren, Jarrod Smith, Casey Cambron, Mallory Hamrick, and Krista Smith; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Casey Cambron, Jarrod Smith, Larry Grimes, Tracy Craft, Jessica Grimes, and Robert Derden.
Honorary pallbearers are Steve Cambron, her four great-grandsons, staff of Northbrook Apartments, and members of Robertson Chapel Baptist Church.
