Leatha is survived by her husband of 55 years, Harold H. Buchmann; her children, Karen Campbell (Steve), Brooks Buchmann, Brady Buchmann (Kelly), and Brian Buchmann; and her grandchildren, Clint
Campbell, Chelsey Campbell, Sarah Ann Buchmann, Hanah Buchmann, Conor Buchmann, Trey Hinton, Lauren Allen, Harper Allen, and Sam Allen.
Leatha is preceded in death by her parents, James Troy Sims and Talitha Cumi Pate Sims; her stepmother, Sallie Latham Sims; her brother, Thomas Vernon Sims; an infant brother; and her sisters, Frances Sims Williamson and Edna Earle Sims Lancaster.
Leatha attended Gordo High School and graduated from Perry Business College with a Secretarial degree. She worked in the business office of Pizitz in downtown Tuscaloosa for 14 years and was a member of the University Lutheran Church.
Celebration of life will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Pieplow and Rev. Patrick Fertitta officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Provider directing the service.
