Shari Lynn Prentice, age 54, of Northport, Alabama, passed away quietly at DCH Region Medical Center in Tuscaloosa and entered God’s kingdom on September 6, 2023. Shari was born in May 17, 1969 to Howard and Mary-Ann Jones. She was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and a successful business owner.
Shari loved making jewelry and created a business doing what she loved, she even became a top seller on Etsy. She remained close to her mother and father through the years and became a constant support and companion during her father’s extended illness after the loss of her mother, “Nana”, in 2017.
She will be remembered for her uniquely southern charm that could warm any room, her grit and determination to find success is every endeavor, and her love and steadfast devotion to her family, including her pets, Rambo, Cleo and Nala, who will miss her greatly. It was a fortunate day in the life of any animal who found a home in Shari’s heart
She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary- Ann Jones, her father Howard Jones and her brother, Howie.
She is survived by her beloved children, Timothy Lee Skelton, and Lauren Ryan Prentice, and the joys of her life, her grandchildren, Annie Elizabeth, Lileigh-Ann James, and John Maddux Skelton her sister Deborah Ann Brown, and her niece Ashley Brown.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home, followed by a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 2:00 PM.
