NORTHPORT | Susan Melissa Green, age 37, of Northport, died May 22, 2014. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Aubrey and Exa Green; James Floyd Swann and Martha Sue Swann; and nephew, Cody Faulkner.Survivors include her sons, Skylar Green and Justin Green; sister, Christy Faulkner (Shaun); brother, Jason Green; parents, Larry and Janis Green; and nephew, Ethan Green.Melissa was born August 28, 1976 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. She was a lifelong resident of Northport. Melissa graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1994.Pallbearers will be Steve Gregory, Steven Gregory, Patrick Swann, Shaun Faulkner, Hunter Kelley, and Jason Green.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
