Terry L. Watson

Terry Lynn Watson age 63 of Northport, AL passed away Thursday, January 1st 2026 at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January the 5th at 11:00am with visitation starting at 10:00am at Sunset Funeral Home, 3802 Watermelon Road Northport, AL.

Terry was Preceded in death by his father, Blanton Watson, uncle Jerry Rodgers, niece Kasey Lee, and his mother and father in law Vera and Bill Hayes.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years Cynthia Kay Watson, mother Anna Loyal Watson, daughter Allison (Cody) Chandler, son Adam (Lia) Watson, twin sister Sherry (Ray) Lee, brother Brad (Heather) Watson and grandchildren, Miller Chandler, Eli and Henry Watson and numerous nieces. Terrell Jones will be officiating, and pallbearers will be Ray Lee, Cody Chandler, Brad Watson, Jim Rice, Doyle Hart and Jeff Thornton.

Terry worked a 36 year long career at Winn Dixie and enjoyed gardening and maintaining the acreage around his home. He was a loving father and grandfather who cherished time spent with family and friends. He was a lifelong member of Phillips Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Northport.

A special thanks is given to the CICU unit at DCH, DR Monica Bui, Terry’s physician DR. Vaughn, and the staff of North Harbor where his wife Kay is employed, for their support through Terry’s battle with multiple health issues
