Viola W. Gaddy

NORTHPORT - Viola Hassell Watkins Gaddy, age 94, of Northport, Ala., died August 31, 2017, peacefully at her home. Graveside services will 1 p.m. Sunday, September 3, 2017, at Bethel Presbyterian Church with Dr. Hayse Boyd officiating and Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Martha Hassell; brother, Sam Hassell; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Watkins; and great-grandson, Jon Seale.

Survivors include her children, Sue and Arnold Mills, Buddy and Judi Watkins and Billy and Dot Watkins; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Steve Hoggle, Darrell Watkins, Greg Watkins, David Watkins, Mark Seale and Brad Link.

Honorary pallbearers are Mitchell Bagwell, Llannie Ellison, R.L. Ellison, Robert Turner, Floyd Turner, Rollin Hassell, Doug Barker, John Lesley, James Bagwell, Phil Smith and Gayle Howell.

A special thanks to the nurses and staff of Alabama Hospice Care and to Bea Connell, Sue Pate, Delois Travis and Rhonda Woolbright for providing excellent and loving care for our precious mother and grandmother.
