

TUSCALOOSA – William Benjamin Sellers, age 91, of Tuscaloosa, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, February 5, 2016, at Glen Haven Nursing Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Steve Stamps officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service with burial at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.
Survivors include his wife of 71 years, Eileen W. Sellers; daughter, Teresa Sellers McGee (Bobby) of Cullman; sons, Danny Sellers (Jennifer) of Dallas, Texas and Barry Sellers (Douglas) of Hartford, Connecticut; special great-niece, Ginger C. Love (Geoff) of Tuscaloosa and children; and grandchildren, Mark McGee, Ben McGee and Adam McGee.
Ben was a World War 11 Veteran of the Army. He married Eileen while stationed in Australia. Eileen and their son, Danny, came to the United States after the war ended and they made their home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Ben was employed by Pittsburg Plate Glass from which he retired. He was an active member of Piney Grove Baptist Church where he served as deacon until the time of his death. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather.
