Following the war, he fulfilled a long career at Alabama Power for over 44 years. He could do electrical work, carpentry work, and had an excellent mind for accomplishing the most difficult of tasks. He loved to travel all over visiting National Parks and various landmarks learning about history and the rich heritage of the United States that he loved. He loved his family dearly and made lifelong sacrifices always putting family first. He respected everyone welcoming all points of view in every situation. He is a great American and an even greater husband and father.
