Donata (Doning) Pueblos was born in Ilijan Norte, Philippines on August 10, 1930. She joined our heavenly father on April 16, 2016. She suffered from Alzheimer’s for several years and is now in peace in heaven with her husband Dalmacio Pueblos .
She had a strong faith in God and was a devout Catholic. She attended mass and said the rosary daily. She was a member of the Legion of Mary and volunteered her time at the church. She became a Eucharistic Minister and offered Holy Communion to the elderly living in nearby nursing homes. She was well loved by her family and friends and would always volunteer to help anyone without hesitation. Doning was well known for baking ensamadas and tortas (Filipino breads) for everyone. She would make baskets full of these Filipino desserts as gifts for her family or to bring to a party. Those close to Doning are very familiar with her “baskets” and she loved baking the treats as much as everyone, adults and children alike, enjoyed eating them. The baked goods were truly a labor and gift of love.
She is survived by her daughter Darlene, son-in-law Mark and grandson Gehrig and by her son Dalmacio (Dante), daughter-in-law Tangee and grandson Andrick as well as her stepson Richard (Dickie) and his wife Concordia Pueblos. She also leaves behind two brothers Gerardo (Dadong) Cano, Esperidian (Freddie) Cano and two sisters Constantina (Tining) and Angeles.
Arrangements under the direction of Bastian & Perrott, Oswald Mortuary, Northridge, CA.
