Gary Eugene Mueller of Paso Robles, California, passed away on November 20, 2025, due to complications related to Glioblastoma (brain cancer). He passed six weeks before what would have been his 69th birthday. Gary’s soul was surrounded by his family on his journey.
Born on January 2, 1957, in Wichita, Kansas. He was a beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, and cousin. He loved his children and grandchildren more than they will ever know. He prided himself on his integrity and always doing what was right.
Gary graduated from Quartz Hill High School in 1975. He began working for Gemco (Lucky) on July 30, 1974, starting as a grocery bagger, working his way up to a Store Director. During that time, Lucky was acquired by SUPERVALU, then Albertsons. Gary was most known for his ability to get new stores up and running, fix stores that weren’t operating efficiently, prioritize customer
service, and, more importantly, take care of his employees. Gary retired on the same day he started with the company, 50 years later, July 30, 2023.
Gary’s favorite things to do were taking his family camping anywhere from San Diego to Lake San Antonio/Lake Nacimiento and Lake Powell. The lake trips always included boating. He thoroughly enjoyed towing the kids while kneeboarding, tubing, wakeboarding, and skiing. Hundreds of pictures and videos to show for it. Gary also enjoyed watching his KC Chiefs football team
and the LA Dodgers.
Gary is survived by his wife, Teresa, children Brad (son), Rachel (daughter-inlaw), Kristi (daughter), Andy (son-in-law), and Bryan (son), Denisse (daughterin-law) as well as six grandchildren: Kailey (15), Emiley (10), Brayden (8), Olivia (6), Kinsley (3) and Elliott (3).
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Mueller and Josephine Mueller-Baron, his grandparents, Edwin and Edna Mueller, and his uncle, Brian Stammers.
A celebration of life will be scheduled later.
In place of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society in his honor.
