Juan joined the Palm Desert Optimist Club in 1997 and became President for two years in October 1998. He had a smile and warm words of enouragement for each of us every time we met. His was a life to celebrate. He never failed to "make all of his friends feel that there is something in them."*
Thank you, his family, for sharing him with us.

Juan Arriola brought great joy to every staff and volunteer at The Living Desert. He had a way of making all of us feel special and appreciated. I've been blessed by his friend and mentorship. Never will he be forgotten.

Although Juan and I were from very different backgrounds, we shared many similar ideas and interests. I've only
known him for the few years I have been at TLD, but that time is priceless. He loved
being a Docent and shared that with everyone, volunteers abd guests alike. I will fondly remember his humor and his wisdom each time I enter TLD. My thanks to his family for sharing Juan, and my prayers for you and our loss.

Juan will be missed as a valuable Optimist member. His attitude of serving others, always was preceded with a smile. A servant's heart is always missed. My sincere condolences for his family and friends.

Juan was a valued member of the Optimist Club of Palm Desert. The club's motto is "Friend of Youth" and Juan's life fit that description. He chaired our Essay and Oratorical contests for elementary students and served as President for two years. He was a kind and caring man whose friendship will be greatly missed. Our sympathy to his family at their time of loss.

I was so honored to have Juan as a friend, and my life was greatly enriched because of it. Our "Team Tuesday" was the best giraffe team because of his leadership. He was a kind, gentle man who loved his family above all else--the Father and Grandfather everyone should have. He will be missed, but his legacy lives on.

Juan was a friend and patient of mine at Plaza Dental. His girlfriend Janice and my Mom were close Friends. Both my parents voulenteered at the Living Desert with Juan..My Mom passed away about a week after Janice...My Dad passed 10 months later. Juan would always greet me with hugs and free passes to the Living Desert for my daughter and me. He had requested a silver plated toothbrush for his 10 years at the dental office. As a joke I spray painted him a toothbrush and put it on a string to hang around his neck. He wore it a few times to his 6 month cleanings and I appreciated that he found the humor in it. He was a wonderful man and friend and he will be dearly missed by me. I send my thoughts and prayers to all his family and share in the grief of their loss. God Bless you and Juan...
