Juan (coach) Washington, son of Darryl-Joaquin Scales, Delice Watts, and Ulysses Washington Jr was born September 26, 1969 in Los Angeles, California. He was a loving husband, father, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Juan was a great big brother to Ulysses Washington III, Patrick Washington, and Donald Stephenson. A loving father to Cody Singleton, Jordan Washington, and Imani Washington, and a caring family member to many more Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends.
We all know that Juan loved sports, hence the nickname “Coach”. He used that love and passion to create a passionate atmosphere for young kids to develop fundamental life skills that we could all use to help us grow as individuals. It was bigger than championships and games, it was the bond and connection that many of us have to this day. He poured his life into sports which included Football, Basketball, and Baseball and touched hundreds of lives that include players, parents, spectators, and opponents.
So, as we celebrate Juan’s life, lets choose to enjoy the precious moments that we were able to spend with him. Let us grab ahold of the good that he produced and use our efforts to multiply what he has instilled in each one of us. No one knows the day or hour that their time is up. So, let us live each moment to the fullest just like Juan did and learn to enjoy our most precious possession that each us have, “LIFE”. Juan will be loved and missed dearly.
Rest easy Coach. We all love you.
