

Kelly Marvin Lord Jr., age 72, of Northridge, California passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022. Kelly was born July 30, 1949 in Burbank, California. He lived in Northridge, CA for more than 50 years. He attended St. Bridget of Sweden School, Crespi Carmelite High School, Pierce College and was a graduate of California State University Northridge.
He was a small business owner and civic leader.
Kelly was a full partner, along with Ted Rozman, in the real estate company, Equity Trust Realty, which is involved in commercial sales and business opportunities. He started and developed the Property
Management division. His responsibilities there included directly interacting with the owners, as well as overseeing the various repairs to the properties.
He was a member of the Northridge East Neighborhood Council for more than 5 years, having served as its President for 3 years. During that time, he also served on the Northridge NEW Vision committee which was actively involved in engaging the community in creating a community plan which looked toward the future development of Northridge and its surrounding environs for the next 5, 10, and 20 years. He also made an unsuccessful bid to become the City Council member of Council District
12. He was always thinking of “the greater good” for the community!
In 2011, Kelly joined Broadstreet Energy Systems, where he served as the Regional Sales Director, focusing on the creation and installation of commercial and residential alternative energy systems. His primary focus, however, was on the non-profit and commercial clients he had developed over his years in commercial real estate. At the end of his tenure there, he was their Sales Manager for residential sales.
More recently, Kelly worked with his friend Carl Tucker of Tucker Air Conditioning, as well as continued working for his Property Management clients.
Kelly is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Karen L. Koe; his siblings Mary Ellen Lord Jolliffe, Peggy Lord, Tom Lord and Kay Lord Stout as well as inlaws Craig Ensz, David Jolliffe, Gerry Malais, Margie Lord and Mark Stout. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews: Megan Bowman, Daniel Lord, Thomas Lord, Kendall Lord, Maddie Lord, Alexandra Stout, Nick Stout,
Eliot Bowman and Andrew Bowman. Kelly loved us all!!!
