Passed away on September 3, 2020
Linda Morey was welcomed into Heaven on September 3, 2020 after a 2-1/2 year battle with cancer.
She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her large family.
Linda was born in May of 1957 in Culver City California after her twin sister Brenda. She grew up in the San Fernando Valley with her parents, her 3 older brothers and her “older” twin sister.
Linda married her first husband and moved to Missouri and Oklahoma briefly. The best thing to come from the marriage was the blessing of her 4 amazing children. She returned to California in 1983 with her children when her marriage ended.
Linda loved going out country dancing. It was at the Cowboy Palace that she met the Love of her Life, Michael. Linda and Michael married in 2006 and resided in Canyon Country.
Together and with her family Linda enjoyed family camping trips to Big Sur, long weekends wine tasting, craft beer tasting, family game nights (even if we always lost to the Griffiths!), cooking, morning coffee, cooking shows, laughing and vacationing at the beach. She was happiest surrounded by her family on holidays, birthdays, weekends and whenever possible. But she also enjoyed the quiet times with Michael sitting out by the fireplace in the backyard enjoying a glass of wine or Cadillac Margarita!
Linda was loving, sincere, compassionate, considerate, strong, thoughtful, affectionate, easy to open up to, understanding, never judging and gave unconditional love. She always put everyone else’s needs ahead of her own. She was the greatest wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend that anyone could hope for!
Linda is survived by her husband Michael, her 4 children, 20 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, 3 older brothers, her twin sister and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Linda will live on in our hearts and her memory will never fade!
Her favorite versus were: Matthew 11:28, Matthew 22:37-38, Philippians 4:7 and Romans 8:28
In lieu of flowers, Linda has requested donations be made to City of Hope

I am so heartbroken. There are friends, good friends, best friends & that ONE friend. Linda was that one friend for me. We met at Sears & on that first day, she wondered who the heck was she supervising when I walked in late & with a massive hangover! We quickly became friends & shared so many great times & made lifetime memories. They ranged from secretly hiring a stripper for her 30th birthday to country line dancing, 50's rock & roll with Captain Cardiac & the Coronaries, sneaking backstage to meet Sawyer Brown, little league games, and the birth of my son. There are so many more precious memories that I hold on to. She was always my guide, my rock, sometimes my conscience & always, no matter what, always my friend. Linda, I love you & you will be forever in my heart. Thank you Larry, Mike, Brenda & Kevin, for sharing her with me for 34 years.
