Louise Joan Barche

Louise was born in Somerville, MA to Dominic and Albina Luongo, who immigrated to America from Naples Italy. She was the baby of 7 children, all her siblings preceded her in death. Louise attended Somerville High School, Class of 1939. She went on to business school before getting married to Peter Barche, of Cambridge MA. Louise had two daughters who were born in Norwood, MA. Louise is survived by Paula Rupnik (Keith), Carla Skornik (Raimund), and 5 Grandchildren, Derek Drinan, Jennifer Dudley (Kevin), Jamison Rupnik (Emily), Jessica Rupnik, Devon Skornik (Holly) and 1 Greatgrandchild Luke Dudley. Louise also had many nieces and nephews that she cared deeply about.

After moving to California in the 1960’s, Louise continued her career in bookkeeping. Louise remained active and worked part-time for a legal firm in her early 90’s. Louise belonged to St. Mel’s Parish in Woodland Hills, CA for over 50 years. She was active in many ministries and volunteered at the church.

Louise enjoyed traveling, playing cards, going to the casinos, attending musicals and visiting with friends and family. Louise passed away peacefully in her home with her daughter by her side. Services for Louise will be held at St. Mel’s Parish, November 10th at 11:00 am. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth at 1:00 PM.
