Otis J. Moses was born August 18, 1952 and went home to be with his Lord September 3, 2018. He was the sixth born child of Harbert Moses, Sr. and Nellie Davis Moses. He was married to and divorced from Nina Karen Miller Moses. Together they had one daughter, Nikisha Ann Moses. They all lived in California. Otis has three living sisters: Gloria Moses Delcambre, Nellie Moses Abbott, and Roberta Moses Calhoun and one brother Harbert Moses, Jr. He also had one sister, the late Irene Moses Williams. He will always be loved and respected by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He attended Hungerford High School and Wharton Community College from which he was drafted into the US Army where he served as a Medic during the Vietnamese war. He also was in charge of the Epidemiology Department at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas. He received a degree as an Optician from American Career College and continued his education at Southwest College in Los Angeles.
Otis was a co-owner of We Care Corporation through which his company supplied medications and medical supplies to board and care homes. He taught medical assisting classes at Bryman College and Modern Technology School of X-Ray. From there several of his students remained his friends until the present time.
He was a skilled maker of beautiful jewelry. Even after retiring from work, he continued to mentor people in the medical field. Otis attended the New Horizons Church in Reseda, California.
