His family moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota when he was a year old. He attended University of Minnesota. He married Colleen Barry in 1954. Colleen and Richard moved to Los Angeles, California in 1964. Richard passed away on August 20, 2014 in Northridge, California.
Richard is survived by his wife Colleen; Daughter Denise Mantonya, Son Richard Stubblefield and Gregory Stubblefield, Daughter’s Margaret Breckner and Maureen Haldy, Richard was pre-deceased by his Son Barry Stubblefield; 12 grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.
Visitation will be held at Bastian & Perrot, Oswald Mortuary in Northridge on Friday, August 22, from 5:00pm to 8:pm with a Rosary service beginning at 6:30pm. Funeral Service will be held Saturday August 23, at 10:00am at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Northridge. Interment to follow at San Fernando Mission Cemetery in Mission Hills.
