Andy grew up in Bozrah and attended local schools. After his graduation from N.F.A. he entered the U.S. Air Force in 1966. His proudest achievement in life was serving as a medic in Alaska at the Elmendorf Air Force Base.
After his discharge, Andy was a CT Union Carpenter for over 40 years. Many of these years were spent working at Millstone.
In 1993 he married Kathleen Kane and they had many adventures traveling and enjoying their vacation home in Maine.
Andy is survived by his wife, Kathleen, and a wide circle of family, friends, and co-workers.
A special thank you goes out to Dr. Dhami, Laurie, Christie and Raphaella and all the staff at Eastern CT Hematology and Oncology. They took excellent care of Andy for many years.
Andy’s legacy is to “never give up” and to enjoy the “simple pleasures” in life. He could find humor in every situation and had such a love of food and sports.
In honor of Andy’s wishes, funeral services will be private.
