Aniello "Mike" Giordano

He was born in Brooklyn, NY on Sept. 12, 1931 to the late Joseph and Josephine (Pazzo) Giordano. On Aug. 20, 1960 he married Elinor Michaeline Jaskiewicz at St. Joseph Church in Norwich. She predeceased him.

Mike as he was most well-known, worked as a machine operator at the former American Velvet Company of Norwich and International Paper in Hanover. He and his wife ran Jaskiewicz Paint Store in Norwich for over 40 years. He was a hardworking man.

He is survived by his daughter; Gloria Homiski and her husband John of Preston, three grandchildren; Caleb, Gabriel and Shania Homiski, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Mike was also predeceased by brothers; Gasper Ropollo, James, Anthony and Louis Giordano, and sisters; Jenny Aiello, Mary Giordano, and Ann Sollitto.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Feb. 16th at 10:00am at St. Joseph Church, 120 Cliff St., Norwich, CT. There are no calling hours. Burial is private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Southeast CT or United Community Family Services of Norwich.
