She was born on June 22, 1931 in Orange, CT, the daughter of Joseph and Ewa (Wlamowolski) Dziadzia. In 1955 she married her beloved husband William W. Hodges Sr. who predeceased her in 2003 after 48 years of marriage.
Ann worked for many years in the office of the former Reid & Hughes in Norwich. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church where she volunteered for many activities, especially the joy of helping with the food locker program. She was kind and faithful, always putting family first. She enjoyed spending time with her friends in the Fireside Extension group. She also enjoyed sports, especially bowling and golf, had a lifelong appreciation for live music and singing, and was an avid UCONN Huskies fan. Go Huskies! Ann had a love of cats and always seemed to be feeding strays at the back door of her home.
She is survived by her son, William W. Hodges Jr., and a brother, Louis Dziadzia and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and 11 brothers and sisters.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11am at Central Baptist Church, 2 Union St., Norwich, CT with burial immediately following at Maplewood Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory may be made to either Central Baptist Church or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
