Mrs. April M Clark Coats

April May (Clark) Coats, age 56 of Voluntown, passed away on January 26 2012 with her family by her side. She was born on June 14, 1955 in Watertown NY to Jessie M. (Champion) Clark. She married her husband Robert Coats on October 20, 1984.

April enjoyed spending her days outside gardening and lounging by her swimming pool. She found great joy in spending time with her kitty cats and her dog Nikki. She also enjoyed traveling and seeing the world. April had been employed at Foxwoods for the past 17 years where she was described as an outstanding manager. April had a heart of gold and will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Besides her loving husband and mother, April leaves behind two sisters, Jo Marie Howton and Linda Jean Mulhearn both of Fl. Although she had no children, she held her nephew Barney and her niece Angela dear to her. She also had several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She is predeceased by her father Earl Wyatt Clark, Stepfather Fred Champion and a brother Earl Wyatt Clark Jr.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the Preston City Congregational Church, 321 Route 64, Preston 06365.
