She was born in Norwich on April 18, 1947 to the late Edward and Helen (Brodowski) Cubanski Sr. Throughout her life Barbara was known for always having an infectious smile greeting people with a “hello how are you my dear”.
She travelled with her parents extensively from Michigan to Florida to enjoy polka music. She attended Polkabration in Connecticut every summer and was a charter member of the Dick Pillar Fan Club. While loving all animals, her husky “Tiko” was her favorite of all time. Barbara spent time socializing at Orchard Grove, with family, and watching cooking shows.
Barbara is survived by her sister; Elizabeth “Betty” Sirpenski and her husband Stanley “Skip” of Thompson, CT., and sister-in-law; Barbara Cubanski of Norwich. She was also predeceased by three brothers; Henry, Paul and Edward Cubanski Jr.
Visitation will be at Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Av Norwich on Friday, July 20th from 10:30am to 12:30pm followed by procession to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, 120 Cliff St., Norwich, CT. Burial to immediately follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 815 Boswell Ave., Norwich, CT.
