Beatrice L. Lewis

Lewis- Beatrice L. Lewis 91 of Norwich died April 15, 2013. Beatrice was the widow of Stanley Lewis. She was born in Amersterdam NY daughter of the late Charles R. and Charlotte (Miner) Johnson. She was a US Army WWII Veteran serving as a head nurse taking care of soldiers, as well as teaching other nurses and corpsman. She continued this career after her military service. She was a member of the Womans city club, and a Madonna place volunteer. She enjoyed arts and crafts. She is survived by three sons, Stanley of Houston TX, Robert of Va. and Richard of Weston Ct. She also leaves 2 daughters Charlene Lynch of Mystic Ct., and Nancy Lewis of Spencer Ma., as well as 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday April 23, 2013 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Labenski Funeral Home 107 Boswell Avenue Norwich, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Sts.
