

around his extended family learning about gardening, plumbing and carpentry which he carried those early lessons throughout his life.
After Graduating from Thames Valley Technical College, Bernie began a marked and interesting life. Bernie joined the army where he spent 2 years in Vietnam, and upon returning home was stationed at Fort Manmoth in New Jersey teaching at OCS, and tending bar in his off time.
He found his way to Vermont, where on July 26 1975 he married Deborah Lathrop and returned to his career in electrical
engineering. Bernie and Debbie returned to Connecticut with their children in 1983.
He retired from Prosoft where he worked at the Naval underwater Warfare Center in Newport Rhode Island as a Network Technician in 2014.
Over the years, he built a life centered around family and community. Bernard was known for his
dependability, honesty, compassion and comic genius. He found joy in fishing, traveling, photography, horse training and computer games. Bernie found a new purpose when his grandchildren
arrived, and reveled in the opportunity to spoil them in ways only Bernie could.<
Bernie is survived by his wife, and caretaker of 51 years Deborah Lathrop Yeznach, his 2 sons Thaddieus and Jesse Jeznach, his mother Elizabeth Yeznach, his siblings Dianne Holmberg, Jeanette
Wick, and Anthony Yeznach, and his grandchildren Micheal, Saige, Avery, Carly, Gavin,Timothy, and Roxanne, along with a slew of others that though not related by blood, he counted as family.
