Bette Jean Livingston

Bette was a beloved sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, who will be deeply missed. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Ellen Livingston of Waianae, HI; her twin Barbara Ann (Mark) Seigel of Lakewood, NJ; Valerie Mae (Michael) LaFleur of Preston, CT; Lorie VanPelt L'Etoile of Sprague, CT; and a brother Robert Earl (Rina) Livingston of Norwich, CT. She is also survived by her children: Matthew Livingston (Heather) Brown and grandchildren Sebastian and Sterling Brown of California; Krysta Marie (Christian) Ippach and grandchildren Tristan and Isabelle Ippach of Germany; and Eric Alexander Livingston of West Virginia, together with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Gabrielle Nicole Brown.

She will be remembered mostly for her creativity in storytelling, her kindness and tender heart. She loved gathering with family.

A funeral will take place at St. James Church, 95 Route 2A, Preston, CT on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 3 pm with a reception immediately following. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honor of Bette and her love of cats may be directed to Kitty Harbor cat rescue of Griswold, CT.
