Billie Sue Hill

Billie Sue Hill, 91, of Laurel Heights Rd., Norwich passed away Monday, July 27, 2026 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of William and Oleta Rice. She grew up in the Norwich area and was a graduate of the Norwich Free Academy class of 1953. Billie Sue was involved in numerous activities in high school.

Billie Sue worked for various credit unions most recently for CPCU as the "Visa Lady."

Billie Sue is survived by her loving husband of 71 years Robert G Hill Sr. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Buddy Rice Sr. She is survived by her four children Linda Covino, Sharon Burdick (Bill Bono), Robert Hill Jr (Christy), William Hill (Jill). Additionally, she is survived by ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be between 5pm to 7pm Thursday July 30 at Labenski's Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, CT. The funeral will be held at 10 AM Friday July 31 at Labenski's preceding burial at Maplewood Cemetery in Norwich. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut with special thanks to Shelia Julia, Dawn, Heidi, Marguerite Payton, Emma and all the others that made Billie Sue's end of life comfortable and meaningful for her and our family.

Thanks to the Hospitalist at Backus Hospital for being the compassionate people they are. Thank you to the nurses and CNA's, and the housekeeping staff on E4. A special thanks to Dr. Schoenfeld who took care of Billie Sue and befriended Bob for over the last 30 years
