Cathleen Frances Mulcahy

Cathy was known throughout her life for supporting and caring for those around her. She always greeted family and friends with her renowned baking - cookies, cakes, and other treats that she only rarely ate. She was also an avid crocheter, spending every night making baby blankets for expecting loved-ones and completed well over a hundred.

Cathy took great pride in her home in Lebanon, CT that she shared with her husband Michael for 36 years. Every inch of the house holds her personal touches from the elaborate seasonal decorations, abundant gardens, and the pool that she used daily in the summer.

Cathy was full of life, vigor and grit. It is such a shock she was taken so suddenly and too soon from everyone that loved her. Please go for a swim, eat some good food, and do something for others in her honor.

Cathy is survived by her sister Tracey Way, brothers Jay and Tim Coleman, husband Michael Mulcahy, children Shawn and Kaitlyn Mulcahy, and grandchildren Alexia and Jacob Rodriguez, and Lupine Mulcahy.

A calling hour for Cathleen will be held on Thursday, August 20, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral home service at 11:00 a.m at the Church & Allen Funeral Home 136 Sachem St. Norwich, CT. Following the service, a procession will proceed to St. Joseph Cemetery for burial.
