

He is survived by his children, Channing Moore, III, Diana Lee, Kathryn Ann, Susan Elizabeth, Cynthia Patricia and Lynda Sue. He has seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren.
Channing had a long and satisfying life. He enjoyed it all. His wife Irene was one of a kind and was the ideal women. He was a veteran of WWII and the Koran War and a member of the Bon Homme Richard CV31 association and the VFW. He was the founder of the Gov. Samuel Huntington Trust and an active member until his passing. His lifelong interest in the Huntington family lead to his involvement as a vice president of the Huntington Family Association. He has written many papers and articles on the family’s early history in the founding of our nation. He proudly celebrated the Huntington Scottish heritage by wearing his House of Gordon tartan and marching as color sergeant with the 53rd Stewart Highland Pipe Band. As a charter member, first he was the Athletic Manager and, then a director of the Scotland Highland Festival Association. He participated in many games and events.
Funeral Services will be held at the Scotland Congregational Church on Saturday September 8 th at 10 am. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
