

Charles "Coz" Politowicz, November 10, 1953 - June 9, 2025 Bozrah - Charles S. "Coz" Politowicz, 71, of Bozrah, died peacefully with family by his side on Monday afternoon at Backus Hospital. Born in Norwich on November 10, 1953, he was the son of the late Edmond and Yvonne (Daigle) Politowicz. Mr. Politowicz was employed as a union laborer for most of his life.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and crabber; he also loved spending time with his dog, Tank, and always wanted to help people.
Surviving is his son, Coz Politowicz and his wife Josey of Canterbury; two sisters Marsha Rollinson and her husband Harry of Chester and Barbara Wilcox and her husband Thomas of Canterbury, and one brother Paul Politowicz of Taftville; two grandchildren Dylan and Devin; stepson Mike Francis and stepdaughter Anneke Francis; and nieces and nephews, Paulie Politowicz, Chad Politowicz, Shaunna Collins, Joe Politowicz, Laurie Winslow, Lisa McKenzie, Julie Theriault, and Laura Tracy. He was predeceased by a brother, Edmond “Butch” Politowicz.
Visitation Wednesday, June 18th from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 19th at 10:00 AM at Preston City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to fund research for the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease.
